My 10 favorite Instagram spots in Paris

10. Galeries Lafayette

Galeries Lafayette

The Galeries Lafayette... Probably the most instagrammable shopping center ever. I mean... Look at this impressive building! It's worth a visit anyway.
And in case that everything is way too expensive for you there (like for me :-P): After enjoying the beauty of the Galeries and taking some pictures, go visit the rooftop. There's a nice Bar up there. You can have a drink and enjoy the beautiful view. And if you're still in the mood for taking pictures, the rooftop is instagrammable too ;-P.

9. Jardins du Chateau de Versailles

Versaille gardens

In those huge majestic gardens around Versaille's castle, I felt a little bit like a Princess!
You'll find tons of instagrammable spots there...

But please, also take your time to just enjoy this wonderful and unique place and set your phone aside for a little while :-)

I highly recommend you visit the gardens on a Saturday evening, when the fantastic Musical Fountains Show takes place, which ends with magical fireworks by the way!

And besides the incredible castle, Versailles is also a nice city to explore; it's the perfect place for a day trip from Paris. And it's easily reachable by public transport :-) Plus: It's a great place to slow down a bit after some busy days in Paris city.

8. Moulin Rouge

Moulin Rouge

Voulez vous coucher avec moi ce soir? :-P

... I think there's no one who doesn't know this famous place, right?
I visited the Moulin Rouge twice during my last trip to Paris: Once at night and once around midday. I prefer the night, because there are those cute lights on the windmill; and there are less people too ;-)
Tip: If you wear a skirt or a dress, you can have your Marilyn Monroe moment in front of the Moulin Rouge ;-P There's a huge round "thing" on which you can stand and there's air blowing up (difficult to explain but you'll find a picture of it in the gallery :-D). I tried it, but well... It didn't look good because I wore pants and a shirt. But anyway; it was funny :-D And I didn't experience a Marylin Monroe moment, but a topless moment instead :-P

7. Montmartre district

Montmartre district

The Montmartre district has, again, tons of instagrammable spots! It's also known as the artist's district.
It's full of cute little coffeeshops, bars and restaurants; and of course artists who paint either buildings, landscapes or tourists.
When in Montmartre, you could also visit the famous Sacre Coeur which is enthroned on the top of the hill. From there you have an amazing view over Paris by the way :-).

I did some souvenir shopping there as well ( If you follow me on Instagram, you might already know that I collect socks :-D ).

Montmartre is a place to enjoy, explore, slow down, take some drinks and be happy... And to take lots of pictures! :-)

6. Café des Deux Moulins

Café des deux moulins

To be honest: Who doesn't love Amélie?! We all do love her, right guys? :-)

At Café des Deux Moulins, you can have your Amélie moment. It's the Café where some parts of the movie took place. Amazing, isn't it?

I enjoyed a delicious fresh & cold mint tea there and took some time to appreciate this special place; and of course to take some pictures too :-P

The Café is located in the Montmartre district; so if you need a little break from exploring Montmartre's cute streets, this Café is the perfect choice for you :-)

5. Le mur des je t'aime

Le mur des je t'aime

Paris- The city of love...

To be honest, I didn't know about Le mur des je t'aime before my last trip to Paris. But I love the idea of writing "I love you" on a wall... In every language... In the city of love. Romantic, isn't it?
When I visited this place, there was a singer with his guitar who sang some beautiful love songs, which made the experience even more memorable.

3 guesses where this wall is located ;-)...?
Exactly: Montmartre again :-P.

Can you spot the "I love you" in your language?
I did spot mine ("I ha di gärn" ... But actually... "Ich lieb dich" would be a better translation, I guess).

4. Pink Mamma

Pink Mamma Paris

Ok, guys... When you're in Paris and you're in the mood for Italian food, Pink Mamma is your place to go!

My experience in this Restaurant was just perfect! I had lunch there; and I made a reservation in advance, because there's ALWAYS a queue... And I wanted to have a table on the 4th floor of the Restaurant, which is the most beautiful part of it ;-).
The Restaurant opened its doors at 12 o'clock and the people with reservations were the first ones who could enter. The entire staff was standing on the staircase and welcomed everyone with a warm "Ciao". Italian... Yayy; I felt at home at once :-D.

Once seated, I read the menu and everything sounded delicious! They also have a nice selection for Vegetarians. I chose kind of a fancy Bruschetta as a starter and as a Primo Piatto, I took the Parmigiana. It was so yummy!
After Lunch, I took some cool shots on the veeery instagrammable staircase.
Highly recommend this wonderful Restaurant! But don't forget to make a reservation.

3. Arc de Triomphe

Arc de Triomphe

I can't think about many better backgrounds for an Instagram shot from Paris than the impressive Arc de Triomphe; commissioned by the great Napoleon back in the 19th century.
You'd like to know the best spot to shoot, in front of the Arc de Triomphe? - The end of the famous Champs-Elysées. There's a crosswalk which you need to cross until you're on the traffic refuge. leave the refuge towards the Arc de Triomphe- et voilà- That's the best spot for some cool Instagram pictures :-)

You can also take some great pictures on the top of the Arc de Triomphe. I recommend you go up there. You'll be amazed at the wonderful 360 degree view over Paris. Of course, it's not the Eiffel tower... But I'm scared of heights anyway ^^.

2. Louvre

Louvre

Another amazing background for pictures: The Louvre (Pyramid). Everyone who will explore Paris will visit the Louvre Pyramid, of course. But if you want to get some nice shots without a lot of people on them, go as early as possible. First take some shots in front of the Pyramid because it gets crowded very quickly.
But there are also other beautiful spots around the Musée du Louvre. Take your time to explore the square, be creative... and you'll find some special places for sure :-).

1. The Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower

Last but not least... The famous Eiffel Tower. I mean, what is more instagrammable than the Eiffel Tower? :-) I definitely never get bored of this view!

And guys, I have the best spot for you to take some very nice pictures: Jardins du Trocadéro! (You can take the Metro to the station "Trocadéro"). There are many different spots to take nice shots... But my favorite was the one you see on the left (I marked the exact location for you on a google screenshot).
But also on the staircase you can take very nice pictures; again, be creative :-).

By the way, the Jardins du Trocadéro are also a wonderful location to watch the Eiffel Tower twinkling at night (every full hour).
